In my role as Social Media Officer for the NCWNZ Wellington Branch, I had the privilege of being the designer for the Wellington Alliance Against Sexual Violence (WAASV). This coalition of organisations with the same goal in mind: to demand action against sexual violence and building safe communities for everyone.
My task was to create a logo that encapsulates the purpose and spirit of WAASV. The design needed to reflect the group's dual role as both agitator and collaborator in their fight against sexual violence.
Drawing inspiration from the coalition's activist beginnings, particularly the #LetUsLive rally, I chose a hand-drawn style for the logo. This is both a nod to protest placards, but also introduces a human touch to the narrative.
